Wool felt and hair felt
The sporty hat can be distinguished by the material: wool felt and hair felt. Wool felt is made by compressing the fibers of new wool. This material is very strong, insulates against cold weather and feels soft. Hair felt is made by processing smooth animal hair with heat, moisture and friction. This creates a silky material that is lighter than wool felt, it has a luxurious appearance and is of higher quality. Hair felt is also more water-resistant and can therefore withstand the rain better.
Panizza hat
The hats handmade in Italy by the Panizza company from 1879 are a beautiful example of high-quality wool felt hats. Young and old are crazy about this hat and although they are men's hats, we also sell them regularly to women.
